Villa Golfo di Castellammare enjoys private access to a sandy beach on the Golfo di Castellammare of around 5 minutes walk. See picture to left.
Easy day trips to many important places
Including Palermo (50 km) renowned for its history & culture; Greek temples of Segesta (40 km), Agrigento (175 km) & Selinunte (80 km, also known for its superb beach); Erice (45 km) offering breath taking views; beautiful views & swimming at San Vito lo Capo (25 km) & Scopello (25 km); salt pans south of Trapani (55 km); Marsala (85 km) & Alcamo (11 km) with their famous wineries; Zingaro nature reserve (20 km).
Children play time at Toy Park Beach, Mondello
The beautiful beach of Mondello (Palermo) has a nearby Toy Park www.toypark.it where children can spend many happy hours playing.

Imagine being taken by chauffeur to enjoy a performance at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo, one of the finest & largest opera theatres in Europe. Palermo being only around a 45 minutes car journey from our Villa. Directions & general guidance
Balestrate
Balestrate, a delightful village with all amenities, lies on the edge of the Golfo di Castellammare west to south-west of Palermo airport and easterly of Trapani airport, near location indicated by the red square symbol on map.
Meeting arrangements
Our guests using their own car hire are met by prior arrangement at our Balestrate address (see "CONTACT US" page), from where they are guided to the Villa by our caretaker (2 km or 3 minutes by car).
Directions from Palermo airport (around 30 km / 25 minutes by car)
Take motorway ("autostrada") A29 towards Trapani, where Balestrate turn-off is around 25 minutes by car (this turn-off comes next after sign for Trappeto).
Directions from Trapani (Birgi) airport (around 65 km / 45 minutes by car)
Take motorway ("autostrada") A29 towards general direction of Palermo (on-route you will pass by Fulgatore, Ummari and Castellammare del Golfo). Stay on A29 in general direction of Palermo until you see the Balestrate turn-off.
Directions from Catania (Fontanarossa) airport (around 260 km / over 3 hours by car)
Take directions to city of Palermo and then further on towards Palermo airport taking motorway ("autostrada") A29 in general direction of Trapani. Balestrate turn-off is around 30 km on after having passed-by sign for airport (Palermo).
Note on names for Palermo, Trapani & Catania airports
Please note that Palermo airport (PMO) is known as Punta Raisi / Falcone Borsellino airport; Trapani airport (TPS) is also known as Trapani Birgi airport; Catania airport (CTA) is known as Catania Fontanarossa airport.

Our Villa offers traditional holiday accommodation in Sicily within Golfo di Castellammare situated in the North West part of Sicily. It offers a superb quality accommodation to rent that is situated close to a great many places of interest and is within easy access from the airports of Trapani (45 minutes) & Palermo (25 minutes).

Our Villa is close to the delightful village of Balestrate (2 km) offering an excellent range of local amenities and restaurants.

Normal average day temperature: 27°C for June to October (July/August 30+°C); 22°C for November, April & May (24°C); 17°C for December to March.

Optional extra services subject to availability include: private transfers from/to airport (from £25) and between Villa & Balestrate/local places (from £4); chauffeur or selected drop-off/collection for day trips (from £20); breakfast/dining delivery (from £3/person); personal laundry & errands (from £4); theatre booking arrangement & transport (from £25).
